Stellar Nights is Happening Every Friday and Saturday From July 10 - August 1
It’s a cosmic summer at Orlando Science Center with the start of Stellar Nights! From July 10 – August 1, guests are invited to experience the Science Center on Friday and Saturday nights until 10:00pm. With extended hours, OSC will provide a relaxed atmosphere during the busy summer season with laser light and planetarium shows, telescope viewing in the observatory, animal encounters and four floorsof exhibits! Beer and wine will also be available to purchase for guests 21 years of age and older.
Laser Light Experiences, Planetarium Shows and More
The Dome by Dr. Phillips Charities is the destination for unforgettable experiences and there’ll be a variety of offerings available throughout each Stellar Night. This includes full dome presentations, giant screen films, laser light experiences and live planetarium shows. Plus, a new selection of concessions is available to purchase before heading into the Dome, including popcorn, candy and beverages.
No two planetarium shows are the same at OSC. With an expert live presenter, guests will explore the skies above Orlando, explore constellations and planets, and travel to the edge of the universe. As the curious world shines above the crowd in this interactive experience, guests are inspired to ask questions and learn more about the cosmos.
With an extensive catalog of laser light shows including Taylor Swift, Pink Floyd and The Beatles, there’ll be a new laser light show to enjoy each Stellar Night. In these high-energy shows, music and vibrant laser visuals combine for a dazzling experience. From classic rock to today’s pop hits, there’s a laser light show for everyone in the family.
With a variety of giant screen films, guests can marvel at epic films that blend powerful storytelling and vivid imagery into a cinematic experience that goes above and beyond traditional theaters. And if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to dive deep into the ocean or soar high in the sky and into the galaxy, OSC’s full dome presentationsand giant screen films are the way to go. Telescope Viewing, Live Science Shows and More
There’s so much to see in the summer night sky and Orlando Science Center makes that easy with our observatory with telescopes and other astronomical tools, including one of the largest refractor telescopes available to the public in this state. Weather permitting, the observatory will be open from 7:30 - 10:00 pm for guests to view planets, stars and other celestial objects.
Guests can also catch a live show in the Digital Adventure Theater, engage in circuit building and hydraulics in the Hive, spark their curiosity in the Flight Lab, and experiment in Dr. Dare’s Lab! KidsTown will also be open until 9:00 pm, so little explorers can engage in playful learning all night long!
Friends and family can even stop by the discovery stage where Orlando Science Center’s Life team will be making regular appearances throughout the night with animal ambassadors and biofacts. The Life exhibit will close at its regularly scheduled time of 5:00 pm.
Hours and Admission
Orlando Science Center will be open from 10:00 am - 10:00 pm every Friday and Saturday from July 10 through August 1. Stellar Nights is included with admission and OSC Members get in for FREE. Come in the afternoon and stay for Stellar Nights or come in the evening for skywatching and laser light shows. General admission includes access to all exhibits and shows.
